Is this yes or no wheel really 50/50?
In Yes / No mode, each answer has a 50% chance on every spin. The wheel uses your browser’s Web Crypto random-number generator and rejection sampling, so dividing the random number into outcomes does not introduce modulo bias. No answer gets an intentional advantage.
Why do I keep getting the same answer?
Independent spins can repeat. For example, five Yes results in five specified spins have a probability of 1 in 32. A previous Yes does not make No “due.” The wheel does not secretly balance a short run of results.
What changes when I add Maybe?
Yes, No, and Maybe each receive one third of the probability. Repeated visual segments do not give one answer an advantage because each answer appears the same number of times.
Can I make a wheel with my own choices?
Yes. Open “Make it yours” and enter 2–8 different choices, one per line. Each entry gets an equal chance. Use “Reset to Yes / No” to return to the original wheel. Custom choices are not saved between visits.
Does the wheel know the answer to my question?
No. It selects a random label, not a fact or a prediction. The optional question stays in this page’s memory and does not influence the result. Use the wheel for games and small choices, not important health, financial, or safety decisions.
Can I use it in a classroom or on my own website?
Yes. The printables include spinner templates, a 30-spin probability activity, and yes/no question cards. The embed builder creates a responsive widget for your website. No account or mandatory backlink is needed.
Where are my results saved?
The full-size wheel saves up to 50 recent results and your theme and speed in this browser’s local storage. Your question, custom labels, and sound choice are not saved. The embedded wheel does not use local storage. Clear the history on the wheel or delete all local data on the privacy page.
